Nevada Outlasts Cassville on Senior Night, 66-48

The 17-5 Nevada Tigers varsity hosted Cassville for Senior Night in a Big 8 Conference matchup Friday evening at Wynn Gymnasium. Nevada is coming off a 4 OT 62-59 victory over East Newton. Meanwhile, the Wildcats (4-17) fell at home against Mt. Vernon 52-51 at home. Neither team has played since last Friday due to the snow storm that has affected play all over southwest Missouri. Nevada came into the contest averaging 55 points per game while giving up 48 points on defense. The Wildcats are averaging 51 points per game on offense while giving up 64 points on defense. Nevada has taken 5 out of the last 6 contests between the two programs dating back to 2009.
