Center Outlasts Nevada in Class 4 State Sectional Game

The 21-5 MSHSAA class 4 district 13 champion Nevada Tigers played hosted to Center High School Monday night. The Yellowjackets were coming off their district 14 finals win over Marshall High School while Nevada defeated Clinton on Friday.  Nevada came into the contest averaging 55 points per game while giving up 47 points on defense.  Center, 16-10, is averaging 52 points per game on offense while giving up 42 points on defense. The two teams are former West Central conference foes with Center taking 10 of the last 14 contests between the two programs dating back to 2011.  Nevada is 0-2 in post season play against Center.
