A Nevada man is in custody following a weekend incident at 701 West Garfield. Nevada police responded to a report of gunshots from the area of apartment C-3. Officers contacted the victim who reported he had been in a verbal dispute with Patrick O'Malley, who left and returned brandishing a handgun which he pointed at the victim from outside the victim's apartment window. A solar-powered car passed through Nevada Monday morning. The car was the entry from students at the University of Michigan. Jeff Ferman, a recent graduate and computer science major, was one of the Michigan students, the leader, on the traveling team. The damaging winds came quickly -- even though Schell City clerk Sharon Sanderson had sounded the tornado sirens, many said they had too little time to take cover when the storm let loose its wrath on the small town, shortly after 2 p.m., Monday.
