With the presidential election-year climate putting pressure on legislators at the state and federal level to fund transportation, and with Missouri's Amendment 3 aiming to restore public confidence in the state's ability to build and maintain a road system by constitutionally protecting much of the transportation fund from diversion, proponents of the I-49 notion believe the time is right for the Show-Me State to start paving the way for such a project.. ...
