MFA Oil sold E85 gasoline for only 85 cents between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m, as a promotion in celebration of the new offering, Friday. E85 is a mixture of ethanol and gasoline, comprised of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. MFA is reportedly the first station in Vernon County to offer the product. 100 years ago Six attempts to wreck train CLINTON, Mo. -- A sixth attempt to wreck the Clinton line "plug" train of the Frisco was made last night. This time the wrecker, who it is thought seeks the life of Frank Silvers, the engineer, was bold enough to enter the Clinton railroad yards and while the train was at the depot threw this roundhouse switch.
