Members of the Northeast Vernon County High School Team Spirit hosted its first "Docu-Drama -- Mock Car Crash" held in a decade Friday, April 24, on the south side of the NEVC campus. The driver of a tractor-trailer struck by a train as the trailer crossed the track at a crossing on Route DD, three miles north of Sheldon escaped injury in the incident. I got to take my first trip to the newly renovated Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City to see to the Royals play this past weekend and it certainly made for quite the interesting trip. Lloyd Earl Weber, 70, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his home in Nevada following a lengthy illness.
