I appreciate the civil response from John Hoagland and respect his different opinions. I have spoken to several parents and observed myself those current students from the western edge of the district that ride the bus for 1 hour, 40 minutes to travel to the Schell City campus; the trip from the town of Schell City to the Nevada High School takes around 35 minutes traveling at safe speeds. ...

Dear Editor: It is pretty clear that the majority of NEVC supporters fear annexation into the Nevada School System for a variety of reasons. One of the main reasons seems to be that their children "would not fit in." First of all, they should not sell their kids short. These kids know many of the "Nevada" kids through 4-H, summer sports programs, school contests and other activities. They are already friends with many of the Nevada area kids...
