Nevada Daily Mail JOPLIN -- Vanessa Langford, a sophomore at Missouri Southern State University from Nevada, finished second in the women's pole vault at the MIAA Indoor Championships on Saturday. A graduate of Bronaugh High School, Langford cleared 12 feet, 3.5 inches and was second to her teammate Melanie Bower, who cleared the same height. Larry Eugene "Bud" Jackson, 62, of Trading Post, Kan., died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
