The Nevada Lady Tigers and Tigers freshman basketball teams were scheduled to take back to the road Monday evening, for a doubleheader at Pleasant Hill High School, but Nevada High School athletic director and Tigers head varsity basketball coach John McNeley said those two games -- along with a few other events in which Nevada teams were supposed to participate Monday -- have been postponed, due to the cancellation of classes...

Nevada football earns All-District, All-State honors

Five members of the Nevada Tigers football team earned All-District and All-state honors for the 2013 season. The Missouri Football Coaches' Association's All-Class 4, District 7 team included senior quarterback Alex Payne, senior defensive back Keegan Bell, senior linebacker Cole Sanderson, junior offensive lineman Caleb Smith and sophomore kick returner Chaden Brandt. Brandt also was included on the MFCA's Class 4 All-State third team as a kick returner...
