APPLETON CITY, Mo. -- The Hume Lady Hornets basketball team opened the Appleton City Tournament Monday with a strong performance against the Lady Indians of Chilhowee High School. GOLDEN CITY, Mo. -- The Bronaugh Lady Wildcats dropped their opener in the Golden City girls' basketball tournament Monday night. Third-seeded Lockwood prevailed, 59-36, over the Lady Wildcats, who were seeded sixth. The loss put Bronaugh into Wednesday's consolation bracket for a 5 p.m. game against Golden City.
