Lady Tiger student-athletes net Academic All-State accolades

Nine members from the Nevada High School volleyball team and five from the Lady Tiger softball team recently received Academic All-State honors for their dedication and hard work in the classroom — the school recently announced. According to NHS head volleyball coach Ashley Thoreson, in order to qualify for the prestigious honor — a student-athlete must have a cumulative 3.6 grade point average or higher, and participated in at least 75 percent of the teams Fall 2017 varsity matches or games. ...
