Patricia Ann “Pat” Bell 88, formerly of Nevada, Mo., surrounded by her loving family, went to her eternal home at 1:05 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, while in hospice care at Oakview Estates, Assisted Living Facility in Frontenac, Kan. At the age of 99, Evelyn Leone (Wallace) Balk went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018. She was born in Warwick, N.D., on July 13, 1919, to John Leslie and Katherine (Kaufman) Wallace. She married Walter Richard Balk on March 18, 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1985. To This union they were blessed with seven children and 116 descendants followed...

Hailee Lundine’s five inning no-hitter lifted the Nevada Lady Tigers to a 10-0 victory over the visiting El Dorado Springs Lady Bulldogs on Monday.
