In a recent wide-ranging interview with the Daily Mail, Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher detailed the many different ways that the global health pandemic has altered his office. For starters, Mosher said the jail's overall inmate population has been significantly reduced. Dr. Robert (Bob) E. Steele Jr., passed peacefully at his son Tom’s family home April 19, 2020, after a lengthy and brave battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born Jan. 8, 1937, in Kansas City, Mo. Robert grew up in Nevada, Mo., where he graduated valedictorian from Nevada High School in 1955. ...
