It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Carson “Mac” Allen, aged 77 years. In the evening on March 7th, 2024, in Eugene Oregon Mac lost his battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Judy Allen, his son Shane Allen and daughter-in-law Sara Allen, two younger brother’s Marc Mason and John McDermott both of Nevada Missouri, three younger sisters JoAnn McDermott of Cainsville Missouri, Linda Gammon of Sheldon Missouri, and Norma Smith of Blue Springs Missouri. ...

March of 1974 saw the opening of a new store in Nevada, the vision of Lloyd and Doris May, in a cabin-like structure at what is now a smaller part of a local restaurant at 117 S.
