She was born April 25, 1937 in Augusta KS to JD and Maryetta Lamb.  She married Paul Phillips and to this union, Linda was born.  Sharon was very devoted to raising Linda while Paul was in the Air Force.  After Paul retired, she began her career at Augusta High School and retired after 17 years as their custodian.  ...

The 5-1 Nevada Tigers varsity squad opened play in the annual Butler Basketball Tournament against the University Academy Gryphons Tuesday night. Nevada is coming off a 53-49 victory over the Joplin Eagles on Saturday at the Carthage Tournament.  Nevada came into the contest averaging 50 points per game while giving up 48 points on defense.  The 2-3 Gryphons are averaging 41 points per game on offense while giving up 50 points on defense. ...
