In case you thought the once common childhood illness known as measles was eradicated, think again. “As of Friday, Feb. 28, there was a total of 146 confirmed cases associated with the Texas outbreak, and it has migrated into News Mexico as well. Out of those 146, there’s been 20 hospitalized patients, and there’s been one death who was an unvaccinated school age child," Vernon County Health Department Nurse Melissa Keating, RN, said. "Measles is a highly contagious disease.”...

The 15-7 Nevada Lady Tigers began district tournament play in Pleasant Hill vs the Center High School Lady Yellowjackets on Tuesday night.
