This weekend I was mowing the lawn and noticed that the little dwarf fruit trees in our back yard were blooming. I have the habit of singing when I am mowing the lawn. It is a great time to sing because no one can hear me over the sound of the mower, and it opens up all sorts of old and new memories...

Martha Edward Frances Lightfoot McQuaid, 87, died April 3, 2004. Services were held at Ferry Funeral Home on April 8, at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. John Swatosh officiating. Musical selections were "Back Home Again," "In the Garden" and "Amazing Grace." Pallbearers were Jimmy Archer, Doug Bryant, Brian Foulis, Donald Sharp, Gene Elphingstone and Dwight Sharp. Children attending the Nevada Public Library's preschool story time on Wednesday and Thursday were treated to a reading of "Come Along Daisy" and a visit from Daisy the duck herself.
