Private landowners, farmers, sportsmen, outdoor enthusiasts and others interested in learning more about wildlife biology and management may participate in the 2006 Missouri Master Wildlifer eight-part series. The Missouri Master Wildlifer is a cooperative educational program sponsored by the University of Missouri Extension, MU School of Natural Resources, and the Missouri Department of Conservation, and the course is designed to provide information on managing the wildlife resources on private lands including alternative management approaches for wildlife in forest and farm settings.. ...

Fisher supports food pantry and elderly nutrition initiatives

State Representative Barney Fisher, R-125th District on Monday announced his support for Missouri House Speaker Rod Jetton's elderly nutrition and food pantry initiatives. In a press release, Fisher explained that "stagnant government funding and a lack of local funds have strapped several senior nutrition centers throughout the state" -- so much so that some have closed.
