Floyd Clinton McComas, 105, Nevada, Mo., passed from this life on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 29, 1909, to Raleigh C. and Alpha F. (Hall) McComas. Alpha died when Floyd was a small child. His father later married Barbara F. Lochner on Jan. 30, 1918, and Floyd always considered her his mother...

Graysen Riley Foss, age seven days, died Saturday, March 7, 2015, at his home in Nevada. He was born Feb. 28, 2015, in Nevada, the son of Bailey Janea Miller and Christopher Alen Foss. The Vernon County Bridge Dept. has three areas in various stages of work. It has opened Quail Road three tenths of a mile east of 100 Road in Coal Township, section 18/19 as of March 3.
