Before daylight on opening morning, a turkey hunter was at the same location in Hickory County as he was on the opening day last year where he took a turkey. Lois Eastland passed away on Oct. 11, in Peoria, Ariz., at the age of 98. A former resident of the Rich Hill area for most of her life, she was a quiet, dignified lady perhaps best known for being a marvelous cook. Palmer represents Lady Tiger golf program at state tourney

The first Lady Tiger golfer to qualify for the Class 1 state tournament since 2014, Nevada High School junior Grace Palmer placed 87th at the event, held Monday at Columbia Country Club.
