Sheldon directors approve budget

The Sheldon school board approved the 2013-2014 budget with a projected $102,267 shortfall Thursday. Last year, the district broke even, and in 2011-2012 the district fell short $135,083. The budget includes steps for all certified employees, a 1 percent increase for all classified staff and a 10 percent increase in health premiums, which will require employees to pay $118 of their premiums.
