During this hot and dry weather, it's hard to visualize that we have a major problem with our sewer system due to rain water. If we were experiencing heavy rain, like a part of Illinois is, then we would have a greater recognition of the issue. Have you driven down a street after a rain and see water coming up out of the sewer system man holes? Or have you observed sewage flowing into grassy areas, due to overflow? This is due to excessive water going through our sewer system, as result of leakage and the other problems that exist. ...
