Renaissance rewards students with meal (Local News ~ 11/07/03)
Students at Nevada High School got a treat for good behavior this week. Jesse and Lorena Ornelas, owners of Casa Azteca, treated gold level Renaissance students to a free meal at their restaurant, Seniors ate free Tuesday, juniors and freshmen ate free on Wednesday and sophomores ate free on Thursday. 152 students qualified and 125 took advantage of the free meal this year,out of a student body of 830... -

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Freshman Carol Humphries' shot at the buzzer capped a Cottey College come-from-behind victory. The Comets basketball team defeated Baptist Bible College 73-72 on Tuesday to even their record at 1-1. "That was a heck of a finish," said Cottey coach Brenda Rose.
