Young ladies participating in the 2003 Miss Merry Christmas pageant are in for a real treat.  They get to meet "The Bachelor," Aaron Buerge, who will be the official master of ceremonies for this year's event.    Buerge was at the center of last year's ABC reality show, "The Bachelor," along with 25 women who also participated in the show -- each of them ready and willing to say "I do" if they made it through the gauntlet of roses presented to those who made the cut each week...

Radio Springs Park will be closed to vehicular traffic through Nov. 28, while parks maintenance crews along with other city staff prepare the park for the annual drive-through light display that will open Friday, Nov. 28 to the public, according to a press release from the Nevada Parks and Recreation Department. ...

100 Years Ago -- November 14, 1903 Two new rural routes will be started from Nevada Monday. One known as Route No. 6 will start at the Tucker Lake Road, east to Okay Farm then around by the Poor Farm, then South on the Township Lane No. 5. The road will go out the Fort Scott Road to Sheets farm, one mile north to Ellis, then east one mile south to Jewell Farm north to Fort Scott Road and then back to Nevada...
